Bangor Cathedral Foodbank have made an appeal for donations, as their stocks are running low.

Established in 2011, the Cathedral Foodbank aims to help families and individuals who need help to obtain enough food.

The Cathedral Foodbank is supported by the donations of local individuals, schools, local businesses, churches and other charities.

The appeal for donations read: “Some of our shelves are looking rather bare. We like to keep them as full as possible, but the only item we have plenty of at the moment is soup.

“If you’re able to donate anything (from the list below) please drop them off at the Cathedral Foodbank (in Bangor Cathedral Diocesan Centre) between 2pm-3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays or at the drop off points around the University.”

The appeal also highlighted that food donated at the supermarkets in Bangor does not go to the Cathedral Foodbank and is distributed elsewhere.

Asda and Tesco supermarkets partner with the Trussell Trust, who supply the Caernarfon and Anglesey Foodbank in Holyhead.
