The popular town centre eatery Anka Turkish Restaurant on High Street, Bangor, has been named a semi-finalist in the “Best Kebab House in Wales” category of the British Kebab Awards.

The restaurant is encouraging local supporters to get behind this nomination by casting their vote via the online ballot. The direct voting link for the Bangor nomination is: https://www.britishkebabawards.co.uk/bka_vote and select ‘Best Kebab House in Wales’, then vote ‘Anka Turkish Restaurant’.

“We are nominated to win the Best Kebab House in Wales Award at the British Kebab Awards! We’d really appreciate your help to win this award,” the team at Anka announced on social media.

The awards celebrate the dedication of local kebab takeaways and restaurants, the beating hearts of our high streets, and recognise the hardworking people behind them. Entries attract major public interest and draw a wide range of industry figures to the evening ceremony.

This nomination comes in the wake of a recent national feature recognising Wales’s top kebab shops, in which Anka was included.

The business now calls on its loyal customers and community supporters to place their votes online as soon as possible to help bring the award home to Bangor.
