Morrisons in Bangor will offer free dog ‘poop’ bags as they attempt to tackle the dog fouling problems in the community.
Working closely with Gwynedd Council, Morrisons Community Champions have now set up the pilot scheme where customers can claim the free bags.
Community Champion Leah from Morrisons in Bangor explained: “I’m so happy to announce the latest news.
“I’ve worked hard to get this up and running and worked closely with the local council to make this happen. Cyngor Gwynedd have been absolutely amazing since the day I mentioned the idea.
“This is temporary for now, just for us to see how popular it is in the community and to see if the issue becomes less of a problem here in the local area before hopefully making this permanent in the store.”
The free dog ‘poop’ bags are available from the customer service desk in Morrisons on request.
