The Met Office has issued a three-day weather warning for North Wales with forecasters warning up to 15cm of snow could fall in one day.

 

 

The first warning comes into force at 4pm on Friday and remains in place until 10.30am on Saturday. A second warning then comes into force at 3am on Sunday, and remains in place until 6pm the same day.

Places such as Snowdonia could see up to 15cm of snowfall on Sunday, with snow accumulations likely down to low levels, forecasters have warned.

Today, spells of sunshine are likely to give way to showers in places, some wintry with hail, sleet and hill snow mixed-in. There will be a moderate westerly wind.

Tonight

This evening and tonight will be cold with clear spells. There will continue to be a few wintry showers in places. Mostly gentle winds.

Saturday

Tomorrow will be cold with sunny spells and the continuing risk of one or two hail, sleet or snow showers. A moderate westerly wind.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday

Sunday will see a wintry system move through early with a mix of snow, sleet and rain with some snow accumulations likely down to low levels. Sunny spells in the afternoon with still the chance of a snow shower. Monday will turn brighter with sunny spells and intermittent showers. Tuesday will see areas of rain, sleet and snow approaching in the morning.
