#TeamIrfon, part of Awyr Las the North Wales NHS Charity, is marking the end of this challenging year with something special, which we can all get involved in: Light Up Christmas.
Light Up Christmas is a real and digital lighting display, brought to you on Bangor Pier and online. This wonderful display, and its legacy, will be powered you.
A real light will shine on Bangor Pier every night for a week from the 18th December for everyone named on the digital Wall of Lights. Would you like to dedicate a light? Whether it’s in memory of an absent loved one, or to say thank you to the important people around you, dedicating a light is a lovely way to celebrate someone special.
This year has seen NHS staff taking on more unexpected challenges than usual.
Families are facing increased burdens, and celebratory and commemorative activities have had to be postponed. Whilst this year has been tough, people of all ages from all walks of life have shown huge community spirit, demonstrated bravery and resilience, and have turned many negatives into real positives.
Your light
You are invited to shine a Light on someone or a group of people you want to show appreciation for. With a £10 donation, you can dedicate the light to someone who has made a difference in your life. Your dedication can be to say thank you, in memory or to wish someone a special Christmas. You can include a message too.
Your dedication and message will feature on the online Light Up Christmas page within 48 hours of making your donation. You, or if you prefer, the person you are dedicating the message to, will receive a Light Up Christmas card through the post.
When making your dedication, you can choose to support #TeamIrfon, the COVID-19 Response in hospitals or the community, or Dementia Services with your donation. https://awyrlas.org.uk/light-up-christmas
