North Wales Police have taken action following a number of complaints from residents in Bangor about young riders on motocross bikes and quad bikes, who have been riding on the road and footpaths in around Maesgeirchen and at Parc Bryn Cegin industrial estate.

The use of the bikes is causing a danger and noise issues for residents.  As a result police  have recently seized one quad bike, and the motocross bike in the picture from a young person after it was ridden towards a Police Officer.

Sgt Iwan Jones, of North Wales Police, said: “Quad and Motocross bikes are potentially lethal machines, and they should be used responsibly, and not in areas where the public are at risk of injury.

“Local officers will continue to target and educate anyone riding such bikes in an irresponsible manner, and I’d like to thank the local community for their continued support.”
