Everton are ‘open to offers’ for Bangor born Nathan Broadhead, according to a report in the Liverpool Echo.
The 22 year-old winger, who signed for Everton at the age of 10, has a contract at the club until June 2021.
Nathan spent last season on-loan at Burton Albion in League One and continued to impress scoring three goals in 22 appearances, despite suffering a recurring hamstring injury.
A regular player in Everton’s U-23 set-up, Nathan’s finest campaign to date was recognised when he scooped Everton’s Under-23 Player-of-the-Season prize following the young Blues’ league and cup double in 2018-19. A highlight of the season was also scoring a double in Everton’s 2-0 win against Liverpool U23’s at Anfield.
A skilful forward, blessed with two good feet, Nathan netted in the first team’s 4-0 SportPesa Trophy victory over Kenyan team Gor Mahia in November 2018.
Nathan became a first-year scholar in June 2014 after joining Everton’s Academy at the age of 10.
He was top goalscorer for Kevin Sheedy’s Under-18 side and helped the young Blues win the Dallas Cup in 2015-16.
After breaking into David Unsworth’s Under-23s in the second half of 2016-17, the attacker was rewarded with a new three-year deal.
Everton U23 manager David Unsworth described Nathan as ‘one of the best players’ he’s worked with.
Nathan has been capped by Wales at every level from Under-17 to Under-21 and was called up by manager Ryan Giggs for a Wales training camp in the Algarve last year.
He made his senior Everton debut on 7 December 2017 when coming on as an 82nd-minute substitute in the Blues’ 3-0 Europa League group stage win over Apollon Limassol in Cyprus.
The Liverpool Echo reports there are several clubs currently interested the youngster who has 12 months remaining on his contract at Goodison Park and Everton are open to striking a deal.
