A safety announcement has been issued ahead of the Bangor City v Caernarfon Town Welsh Cup game, which takes place on Saturday 26 January with a 7.30pm kick-off.
Travel and Parking
Spectators are encouraged to use public transport as limited parking will be available inside the stadium grounds. These spaces will be allocated to spectators on a first come, first served basis in the top car-park.
Access to the Stadium
The stadium turnstiles will be open from 6pm and spectators are encouraged to arrive in good time, allowing for expected queues at the turnstiles. For the safety of all spectators, random body and bag searches will be conducted by stewards, before the turnstiles.
Bangor City supporters will enter the stadium at Turnstiles A and B. Caernarfon Town supporters will enter the stadium at Turnstiles C and D.
Spectator Segregation and Ticketing Information
Both clubs, together with the Football Association of Wales and the Police, have agreed that the match will be fully segregated. Both clubs have been allocated 1,300 tickets for general spectators. The total capacity is 2,640. The Caernarfon Town end is sold out and there is no further opportunity for any more sales.
Bangor City supporters
Spectators will access the stadium at Turnstiles A and B. One turnstile will be allocated to pre-purchased tickets, the other turnstile will be cash only sales.
Supporters will have full use of the Grandstand and behind the goal to the left of the Grandstand. Segregated toilet and refreshment facilities are available. There will be no access to the Clubhouse for general spectators.
Caernarfon Town supporters
Spectators will access the stadium at Turnstiles C and D, which will both be by ticket only. There are no cash sales on the turnstiles. Supporters will have full use of the Menai Straits side, including the Family Stand and behind the goal to the right of the Grandstand. Segregated toilet and refreshment facilities are available. There will be no access to the Clubhouse for general spectators.
Safety and Security
- It has been agreed by all parties that no alcohol will be sold at the stadium. Spectators are also reminded that in accordance with The Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol, etc) Act 1985, offences include;
- Being drunk whilst entering or trying to enter a ground or whilst in any part of a ground.
- Possession of alcohol when entering or attempting to enter a ground;
- Possession of alcohol in any area of the ground from which the pitch may be directly viewed. Such areas include the stands and terraces.
- Possession of a flare, smoke bomb or firework when entering or attempting to enter a ground or in any part of the ground from which the pitch may be directly viewed.
- The throwing of any object within the Ground
- The use of foul and abusive language, obscene chanting or racial abuse towards any person.
- Unauthorised entry onto the Field of Play or the surrounding track, except in an emergency.
North Wales Police will act against anyone who breaches these Regulations, which may result in a banning order from all football grounds in the United Kingdom
