Details have been confirmed for Bangor’s Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade on 11 November 2018.
The Parade will assemble outside by Bangor Clock on the High Street, at 9.20am before marching up the High Street to the Cathedral in time for the start of the Service at 9.45am
Assembling at Bangor Cenotaph by 10.50am, a two minute silence will be observed at 11am, followed by a Wreath Laying Ceremony and a short service.
Discount for soldiers and veterans
The newly opened ‘Cove’ on Sackville Road will also be offering a 20% discount for ex soldiers, veterans and serving soldiers. This will be from 10am – 12.30pm on Remembrance Sunday.
Cove manage Jordan Love explained: “We have just had our kitchen fitted and will be offering a selection of Caribbean dishes.
“I served 7 years in the army with 2 tours of Afghanistan so I always try and create an event for Remembrance Day each year.
“We are offering 20% discount on everything for serving forces personnel and veterans. Armed forces ID cards are accepted, forces veteran pins accepted as ID also.
