Two men, a 17 year old from Manchester and a 43 year old local man, have been arrested on suspicion of drugs supply offences after a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant was executed in Bangor, resulting in the recovery of what is believed to be Class A controlled drugs and associated paraphernalia.
Sergeant James Tyler at Caernarfon Police Station said “On Thursday 26th April, officers from the Gwynedd North Tasking Team executed a search warrant in Lon Pobty, Bangor, and seized a quantity of controlled drugs and other items. Two people are assisting with our enquiries. Our commitment to keeping our communities safe remains a priority, and today’s action under Operation Rattle is another positive result in the ongoing efforts.
“Our commitment to rid our communities of those who possess and supply controlled drugs is our priority and in line with ‘Operation Scorpion’ is directly targeting serious and organised crime. Today’s action under Operation Rattle is a continuation of that process and we are determined to keep our communities safe. For those involved in drugs supply there is #NoHidingPlace. It is vitally important we listen to concerns and where necessary take proportionate action. You say – We do.
“Possession and distribution of controlled drugs will not be tolerated and we will continue to take positive, robust action. However we can’t tackle this problem alone and key to all our work, and that of our partners, is intelligence and I cannot emphasise enough the importance of the community sharing their concerns with us.”
