Several Volunteer Police Cadets have been commended for their work as part of ongoing multi-agency initiative Renew Bangor.
On Tuesday, May 20th, Superintendent Arwel Hughes presented the cadets with a letter of recognition for their support in delivering leaflets about the initiative to properties in Bangor.
The leaflets were delivered to raise awareness of the ongoing work to tackle serious and organised crime in the area.
Superintendent Arwel Hughes said: “I wanted to thank and recognise our wonderful North Wales Police cadets for the part they have played in Renew Bangor which is a multi-partnership effort to tackle organised crime.
“I have been keen from the beginning to fully include all members of the community and the leaflets being delivered has allowed us to increase residents’ awareness and support for the initiative.
“I would also thank the cadet leaders for their co-ordination of these efforts and their own roles as part of the Renew Bangor team.
“Finally, I would thank Grŵp Llandrillo Menai for allowing us to host the recognition evening.”
Anybody with information about serious and organised crime in their area should contact police via their website, by calling 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
