Bangor fireworks display will return to Beach Road on Sunday 6 November, the first display in the city since 2019 due to the Covid pandemic.

The City Council have now taken on the responsibility of organising this year’s event, increasing the budget from £1,500 to £5,000. This should ensure that Bangor’s first Bonfire Night post Covid, will be a spectacular event.

The intention is to bring the people of Bangor together to strengthen our communities despite the hardships people have faced during the pandemic and the difficult days ahead with the impact of the cost-of-living crisis.

Unfortunately, the fireworks company accommodate 5 November so the display will take place on Sunday 6 November at 7pm.

The City Council is investing in a much bigger fireworks display and in addition to the display, there will be funfair rides, food stalls, waffle stall and live music from 5pm for the build up to the big finale.

Bangor City Council are expecting a large crowd for this event and advise spectators to walk down if possible and turn up early to avoid disappointment.

The event is free to attend.
