Police are appealing for a specific witness to come forward after a 14-year-old female was assaulted by a man in Bangor.
The incident took place at approximately 9:30pm on Friday 22nd October, at the bus stop on Garth Road in Bangor. A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail.
The victim is being fully supported by officers as the investigation into this matter continues.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Davies said: ‘At the time this took place, an unknown man intervened and kindly provided help and support to the victim.
‘The man is described as being white, approx. 40 years of age, bald, large build and having exited the 5C Bangor to Caernarfon bus in the Y Felinheli area.
‘This person is key to our investigation and I’m appealing directly to him to come forward to speak with officers about the incident.’
