Burger King in Bangor has closed after the franchise which operates the restaurant has gone into administration.
The restaurant at Bangor’s Menai Shopping Centre has been closed since the coronavirus lockdown but will now remain closed after the franchise owner Powerbanks entered administration.
The news comes as the fast-food chain is starting to reopen drive-thru sites around the UK including the site at Llandygai near Bangor, which will reopen next week.
A spokeswoman for Burger King told North Wales Live: “We can confirm that the Bangor Menai Centre restaurant belonged to one of our franchisees, Powerbanks, which has sadly gone into administration.
“As a result, this restaurant has been closed.
“Our thoughts are with all of the employees affected by this.”
