Bangor will soon be treated to home cooked authentic Italian cuisine when Rita’s Restaurant opens at Patrick’s Bar in upper Bangor.

Highly talented chef Rita Scalas, originally from Sardinia, spent many years honing her knowledge of Italy’s traditional cuisine.

Rita is passionate about creating authentic Italian fare, so cheese, herbs and spices are regularly imported from Italy, which blend perfectly with quality local Welsh meat and vegetables.

The former head chef at the popular Osteria Italian Restaurant in Caernarfon, Rita’s ability to transform simple ingredients into memorable dishes will make this one place that customers will return time and again.

Rita’s Restaurant opens on Sunday 25th and will be open daily, Monday to Saturday 12pm – 9pm, and Sundays 12pm – 5pm on.

Rita told The Bangor Aye: “Rita’s is the new place in Bangor where you can eat fresh homemade food.

“We make all our food from scratch with fresh ingredients locally sourced or imported from Italy, because our food is either authentic Italian or with an hint of Italian spirit.

“I’m an Italian chef living in North Wales, where I have worked for 5 years and I’ve always tried to bring with me the real taste of Italy.

“I’m looking forward to seeing you soon, and give you an amazing Italian Experience.”
