Patrick’s Bar in upper Bangor are celebrating after being announced as runner-up in the coveted Gwynedd and Anglesey Pub of the Year Award for 2019.

The awards are run by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), where all participating pubs nominated are tested for the quality of their real ales.

The Irish themed bar in Upper Bangor has now been part of Bangor’s heritage for over twenty years, serving quality traditional beer and ales, along with your everyday bitters and lagers, and bottled beers, a huge selection of gins, speciality chilli vodka not forgetting a decent pint of Guinness too!

In a closely fought competition across the county, the black boy in Caernarfon won pub of the year, with Patrick‘s a close 2nd place.

A presentation will take place in Patrick’s Bar on Wednesday 10 July from 8pm and all are invited to attend.
