New Bangor City manager Craig Harrison has announced that his first signing for the club is fans favourite Les Davies.
Les Davies has previously enjoyed two spells at Bangor, between 2003–05 and 2007–15, making 275 appearances and scoring 88 goals.
In August 2015, Bangor City announced that Davies had left the club to sign for Connah’s Quay Nomads, where he made 79 appearances, scoring 24 goals, before moving to Bala Town last season, despite his first team opportunities being limited Les scored 5 goals in 5 starts, he left Bala at the end of this season.
Davies has represented Wales at U18 and U21 level and also as a semi-professional for the Welsh U23 team.
In 2012 Les Davies was nominated for the UEFA Player of the Year award with the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Cristiano Ronaldo on the 32 name shortlist.
The list was drawn up by one selected journalist from each UEFA member country voting for their five best players, and a single nomination form a Daily Post sports journalist was enough to earn Davies a place nominations list.
Bangor City manager Craig Harrison said: “He’s a Bangor City lad who wants to be here. He knows what the football club is all about and he knows what it takes to be successful at this club.”
