Bangor 1876 will travel to play a Chester X1 on Thursday 25 July, with kick off at 7pm, in their second ever fixture.

Chester Vice-Chair Andy Morris said: “As a supporter-owned phoenix club now in our tenth season, we are proud to be supporting another club who is following the model and we are pleased to be offering all of our support to Bangor 1876 as they begin their first season in the Welsh system.”

This friendly follows Bangor 1876’s historic first game at FC United of Manchester last Saturday. Chester are expected to name a young side for the fixture with Bangor, with Chester having played on Tuesday night and fixtures arranged for both Friday and Saturday.

On Saturday, 27 July, Bangor 1876 will host Holywell Town in a pre-season friendly, their first ever home fixture. The game will be played on the grass football pitch at Bangor University’s Treborth facility with a 1pm Kick-off.

The fledgling Bangor club also received the news they will host Llandudno Athletic of the Vale of Clwyd & Conwy Football League in JD Welsh Cup 1st Qualifying Round on thw weekend of 31 August/1 September.

1876 will host CPD Sychdyn of the North East Wales Football League Premier Division in the FAW Trophy Round 1 on Saturday 17 August.
