CPD Bangor 1876 FC have confirmed the signing of three further additions to the First Team squad for the upcoming 2019-20 season. The club will also hold an Open Day on Saturday 13 July.
Bangor-born goalkeeper Leon Jones, 19 years old, is a solid shot-stopper who spent last season with Llandudno Albion in the Welsh Alliance Division One, after rising through the ranks in Academy and Development football locally.
Forward Benn Lundstram, 17, is another promising young talent with experience in Academy and Development football and appeared with Penmaenmawr Phoenix in Welsh Alliance Division Two last season
Pentraeth based Steffan Taylor, also 17, is a versatile and naturally left-sided defender and another graduate from local Academy and Development football, who will further strengthen the club’s defensive options.
1876 have already announced their inaugural fixture will be played against FC United of Manchester on Saturday 20 July .
The club also announced they will visit National League North club Chester FC on Thursday, 25 July. Chester FC are also a supporter-owned phoenix club now entering their tenth full season.
1876 will be managed by Mel Jones and Dylan Williams will be the assistant manager. The club have also announced the signings of former Bangor City players Les Davies, Michael Johnston, Jamie Petrie and the experienced Iwan Williams along with several other young footballing prospects from North Wales.
The new club will play in the Gwynedd League next season, which is the 5th Tier of Welsh football. The fixtures for the 2019/20 season are yet to be announced.

Bangor 1876 FC will be hosting an open day at Treborth this Saturday, 13 July 12pm-4pm, and have extended a warm welcome for anyone to attend.
There will be a series of coaching sessions, between 12.00 p.m. and 1 p.m. involving members of Clwb Peldroed Merched Bangor 1876, the girls club affiliated to Bangor 1876.
This will be followed by activities involving the under-twelve boys teams at various levels at 1pm before the senior players participate in an open training session and practice match at 2.00 p.m.
The open day will also be an opportunity to meet members of the Committee and to become members and co-owners of the community-based club which seeks to offer playing opportunities at all levels.
