You can now own your very own piece of Bangor’s history thanks to these beautiful Drinks/Pint Glass Holders made using reclaimed timbers from Bangor Pier. Each drinks holder also has a penny coin from 1896 (the year the pier opened to the public) inset as part of the design. The drinks holders have been made by Jules Tattersall, from Anglesey, who is a woodturner and has been crafting gifts from wood for over 20 years. Free Admission for Under 16s at Bangor City

There will be Free Admission for all Under 16s at tonight’s Welsh premier League game between Bangor City and Connah’s Quay. The Free Admission initiative is the idea of the Bangor City Supporters Association, who have negotiated the deal with the club and are part financing the offer, which will allow U16s Free Admission to all Bangor City’s Welsh Premier Home games this season. Patrick’s Bar in Bangor has been included in the Good Beer Guide for 2018. The Good Beer Guide is a book published annually by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) listing what it considers to be the best cask ale outlets (pubs, clubs, and off licences) in the United Kingdom, the guide was first published in 1972 and is now in it’s 45th year. Why is a clinical psychologist for children with autism and learning disabilities, a mother of four, a County Councillor and a Welsh language ambassador raising money for the Meningitis Research Foundation?
