Pupils form Ysgol Friars in Bangor have been filmed paddleboarding on the Menai Strait with Blue Peter presenter Radzi Chinyanganya.

Five pupils from Ysgol Friars and teacher Mr. Healy, were filmed with Radzi under the supervision of Sian Sykes, founder of Psyched Paddleboarding. All those who took part in the filming received a famous Blue Peter badge.

Sian, who recently completed the first stand up paddleboard (SUP) all the way around Wales, said: “It was pretty special, I had the pleasure of taking Radzi from Blue Peter paddleboarding on the Menai Strait with a great bunch of students from Ysgol Friars.

“I was pretty stoked, I was given a Blue Peter badge!”

A spokesperson from Ysgol Friars said: “It was a great day filming with Radzi for BBC‘s Blue Peter.

“A big thank you to Rib Ride for providing support for the crew. We can’t wait to watch the programme in July.”

The paddleboarding will be broadcast on Blue Peter on the 5th July.
