Ryan Giggs’ brother Rhodri has appeared in a hilarious new advert for Paddy Power, where he makes fun of the Manchester United legend’s infamous affair with his wife.

The former Bangor City player is the younger brother of footballing legend Ryan. The two fell-out when it was revealed that Wales manager Ryan had an 8 year affair with Rhodri’s wife Natasha.

While Ryan played his football with Manchester United winning every major trophy, Rhodri never made the top level game, playing for clubs like FC United of Manchester, Salford and signing for Bangor City in the 2000/2001 season.

The video, titled “Loyalty is dead,” constantly refers to the much-publicised affair and the brother’s subsequent fall-out. The brothers haven’t spoken to each other since news of the affair became public in 2011.

The advert starts with Rhodri, 41, saying: “I’m Rhodri Giggs, and I want to talk to you about loyalty.” – before he takes a trip to his local pub – The Prince of Wales. The barmaid then asks him “bitter?” He responds: “Not anymore Pam, champagne please.”

Watching a Wales game in the pub the commentator says “defeat for Wales questions will be asked of the manager” – Rhodri looks at the camera and smirks.

Rhodri then walks outside passing some local footballers he says “Never missed a training session in my life, after all natural talent is over rated.”

The Ad then shows Rhodri drinking from a Manchester City mug and reading a newspaper with the headline: “United legend Rejected For Dream Job” – with reference to Ryan not being appointed as Manchester United manager. He then asks his partner where she is going before she leaves the house.

Rhodri is then seen on a punch bag in gym where his trainer tells him “Come on Rhodri, think of someone who makes you angry.”

The advert concludes with Rhodri saying “loyalty gets you no where” and promoting Paddy Power’s “rewards club”.
