North Wales Police have issued a warning to students in Bangor that playing ‘pranks’ on other students and their property could have serious consequences, which could attract the attention of the police and university authorities.

The warning comes following a small number of incidents recently in which property has been damaged.

The policing team for the university issued a Facebook statement warning students: “We have had a few incidents recently of students playing ‘pranks’ on other students and their property.

“What you regard as ‘pranks’ can have consequences on other students if damage is caused to property.

“Behaviour of this sort will not be regarded as ‘pranks’ and such events could attract the attention of the University or the Police.”
