New artwork at the entrance to Coed Mawr Community Centre in Bangor is proving popular with adults and children alike, with many children choosing their favourite animals from the new safari mural. There are now plans to invite the artist back to decorate to remaining outside walls of the centre.
Work is also underway on an extension at the community centre to create extra storage space, thanks to £10,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund.
The community centre is going from strength to strength with a huge range of activities form yoga, Tai Chi, Karate, Line Dancing, children’s gymnastics, a Friday youth group for school years 5-8 and Bangor community church who meet every Sunday at 10.30am.
On 3rd June the centre will host ‘The Big Lunch’ aimed at bringing the community together, where people can meet, greet and make new friends, encouraging friendlier and safer neighbourhoods.
The centre is also available for party bookings, for enquires about using the centre please contact Christine King 07734667011.
