The RNLI Beaumaris lifeboat was launched on Sunday. 12 May, to go to the assistance of a fishing boat with four people aboard, that had suffered engine failure and was located between Port Penrhyn and Menai Bridge.
The Beaumaris Atlantic 85 lifeboat launched at 6:20 pm and proceeded to the location given for the craft.
Once on scene the casualty vessel had managed to start an auxiliary engine but had concerns as to how long it would function.
The lifeboat then escorted the vessel into Port Penrhyn at Bangor.
Once this was achieved the lifeboat was then released from service by the U.K. Coastguard and returned to the lifeboat station at Beaumaris arriving at 7:20pm.
