One of the most popular comedians of his time, Ken Dodd, died on Sunday aged 90. BBC Wales have released footage of his visit to Bangor University in the 1960s.

Sir Ken was a regular visitor to north Wales and played shows in Llandudno and Mold only last year.

In 1966 he brought his tickling stick to Bangor, where he was mobbed by fans, but what happened when Knotty Ash’s most famous resident tried his hand at speaking Welsh?
