Award-winning Hijinx Theatre have launched a new free youth theatre for 15-18 year olds at the Pontio Arts Centre in Bangor.

Hijinx are a professional, inclusive theatre company, whose productions consistently feature actors with learning disabilities and/or autism, are introducing the sessions as part of the Hijinx Hub locations in North, South, West and Mid Wales.

Hijinx Actors are the UK’s largest casting site dedicated to learning and developmentally disabled actors. They promote over 60 actors with a range of impairments including autism, Asperger’s and Down’s syndrome from around Wales.

The youth theatre will teach multidisciplinary skills which aim to support positive empowerment, essential skills and strong self-belief in young adults across North West Wales. Running from 4.30pm – 6.30pm every Wednesday, the sessions are engaging, fun and open to everybody, with and without learning disabilities.

Anyone interested in joining can call North Coordinator Laura Sankey on 07513376225 or email north.hub@hijinx.org.uk.
This project is kindly supported by Children in Need and D’Oyly Carte Charitable Fund.
