Volunteers have been clearing up tents and sleeping bags left behind by some of the revellers who attended the ‘Gottwood Festival’ on Anglesey last weekend and have donated them to St Mary’s Hostel in Bangor to help local homeless people.

80 tents and 10 sleeping bags were collected by the volunteers from ‘Fundraver’ worked with the festival organisers and were onsite to collect the unwanted and donated tents, they have now been given to St Mary’s Hostel.

A spokesperson for ‘Fundraver’ said: “We spoke to St. Mary’s homeless hostel and they told us the number one thing they require is tents.

“We built a team and worked with Gottwood festival to collect and donate as many leftover and donated tents as possible to benefit homeless people in North Wales.”
