Plans have been submitted to turn the former Old Glan Pub in Bangor into a Chinese Restaurant.
The former pub, which traded under several names over the years, was also know as the ‘Yellow Pub’ thanks to its distinctive yellow façade.
The pub ceased trading in 2016 and was sold at auction in 2017, the property underwent alterations and upgrading works to form shared residential accommodation at the upper levels and the former public areas at ground level were cleared out, however this has remained empty since.
Under the new plans the lower level of the former pub will be refitted as a restaurant, to be called ‘China Hot Chilli Chinese Restaurant and Buffet’.
A decision on the planning application is expected to be made in February.
