Blakemore Wholesale, which is based at the Llandegai Industrial estate in Bangor, has announced that it will cease trading later this month.

The company sent a message to customers earlier this week, which read: “Blakemore Wholesale has consulted colleagues at our Bangor depot with a view to cease trading at the site on Friday June 29th.

This decision has been reached following careful consideration by the A.F. Blakemore Board and the company will provide all the necessary support for colleagues and customers during this period.

“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this decision may have to you and your business and to take this opportunity to thank you for your custom.”

Blakemore Wholesale offered a wide range of grocery, chilled, frozen, licensed and catering goods. This included a wide range of Chinese foods, ice creams and fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a butchery department.

The company moved to the new ‘state of the art’ depot at the Llandegai Industrial Estate in 2015, after previously being based on Caernarfon Road in Bangor.
