Bangor City have announced they will play their Huws Gray Alliance League match against Ruthin Town at Llandudno’s Maesdu Park Stadium on Friday 22 February.
This will be the second ‘home‘ league fixture to be played at another venue, after the electricity and water supply were turned off at Bangor’s VSM Stadium in January, with unpaid utility bills of £25,000. The club also confirmed at that time they owe £80,000 to creditors, which includes unpaid player’s wages.
The club were forced to play their last ’home’ game against Gresford at Conwy Borough’s ‘Y Morfa’ ground on 2 February.
Announcing the venue for Friday’s game on Twitter this afternoon, the club said: “Friday 22nd Feb’s Huws Gray Alliance League match v Ruthin Town will be played at Llandudno with an 8:00pm Kick Off.
“We would like to thank Iwan & Sam at Llandudno for helping with the fixture and to Bryn & Ruthin on agreeing to the facility.
“This is the best facility and at a very reasonable price. We are very aware that it is not ideal and we are doing everything we possibly can to get back in our own ground as quickly as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience.”
