Bangor City Football Club have confirmed that they have appointed a new accountancy company ready for the upcoming season. DBS Corporate will now be taking over from Andy Haslam as the club’s new accountant.
The Football Club has also accepted the resignation of Dilwyn Jones as the Club’s Licensing Officer.
The club were relegated from the Welsh Premier League last season for financial reasons despite finishing 2nd in the league, which means they will now play in the second tier of welsh football, the Cymru (Huws Gray) Alliance, this season.
The club have assembled a strong team to challenge for promotion back to the Welsh Premier League next season, but must achieve the ‘Tier One License’ required to play in the league.
To achieve the license the club must meet the requirements of the Football Association of Wales’ Licensing Body by providing accounts and financial statements, having no overdue payables from transfer activity, to employees or tax authorities and providing future financial information.
